Collaborative Clinical/Research Initiatives
The US HAEA Angioedema Center serves as an international referral center for angioedema clinical care and education efforts, and additionally provides numerous research opportunities for fellows and residents. This includes bench, translational, and clinical research focused on angioedema conditions. The Angioedema Center has an active biomarker research program studying genetics/genomics and biochemical assays aimed at improving the diagnosis and management of angioedema conditions. Angioedema Center faculty are also focused on the design and conduct of numerous clinical trials for investigational angioedema therapies including biologics, targeted oral medications, and gene therapies. In collaboration with US HAEA Association, the Angioedema Center has developed and maintains a large HAE registry and biorepository as a valuable resource for angioedema research efforts.
